What I have seen over the years is that organized religions, by definition, are an "us vs. them" situation. So far, so good. Where that deteriorates into trouble is that the "us" is always better than the "them". From there, seeds of hate and mistrust are sown. Once those seeds are sown, they grow rapidly. By the time it has gotten to this point, where is the benefit of the organized religion? A current example is the "all muslims are evil and must be banned" movements by our devout, church going politicians.

As tired as I am, I can't sleep. Not enough is getting done, including any art or photos. Not enough cardio is draining my endurance Strength training is making me sore. Off I go to bed soon.

This weekend was certainly a historical weekend. Today we watched the Making of Milwaukee on PBS. It was an extremely interesting show that touched on all waves of immigrants. It showed the growth of the neighborhoods for each and how they contributed to the enrichment of Milwaukee. It was in the 1920's that the idea of immigrants taking away all the jobs put a quota system into place and forced them to quickly learn English. Yesterday was the big day, however. Sharon's brother Steve arranged for our families and their mother to go to the Field Museum in Chicago. We took the train to Chicago and met at the museum. Once there, we were given
